GENERAL FAQs
Will I be able to have the digital photo files?
Yes! We don't believe in holding your files hostage or charging you extra just to receive what you ultimately paid for. After your session is complete you'll be able to download your high-res photo files and use them how you like!
Do you offer videography?
We don't offer full videography services at this time. That said, if you are in a pinch, we may be able to sneak some footage of speeches and dances upon request for you.
Where are you based? Do you travel?
We are based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. We love it here! We've traveled quite a bit, and while we do like spending time in the warmer climates, we really love that we get all four seasons here. That said, we are more than willing to fly out for your event if necessary. Get in touch and we can figure out the details.
As for travel without incurring additional cost: the PA, DE, NJ tri-state area is a safe bet!
I don't see what I need in your packages. Should I ask anyway?
Absolutely! It never hurts to ask! If you have special requirements or are unsure at all please reach out and we can discuss it together!
How do I share my images with my friends and family?
Your will receive a link to your private online gallery protected by a password given to you by us (if you lose it please get in touch, we can help!) which will be easily shareable with friends and family.
You are also welcome to download the images and share them on your social media, of course (please consider tagging us, we love seeing what everyone thinks)!
You keep saying "we". Who will my photographer be?
JMA is one person (James!), who will be your photographer for all packages. Our packages that mention two photographers will also include a second talented associate who will work alongside his direction to ensure we capture the most important parts of your day with any events that span larger areas (such as most weddings).
What does detailed retouching entail?
Every package allows for additional retouching on photos of your choice. This means we can further edit the photos however you like (as much as current technology will allow, of course!) Blemish removal, teeth whitening, color changes or other adjustments are possible.

WEDDING FAQs
Will you be onsite the whole day?
Unless otherwise noted, our packages include full event coverage. We don't want to miss a moment any more than you do! You'll have coverage from your photographers from getting ready to the end of the reception. We'll show up first and leave last!
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive a link to your private online gallery within four weeks. We will also provide a "sneak peek" of the most important photographs within 3 business days of the event, so you can share those, set your new profile pictures, and get everyone excited to see the full gallery soon after, which will be easily shareable with friends and family!
Do you offer albums or prints?
A 12" x 12" layflat wedding album is included in the Deluxe package or available for additional cost with the elopement package.
Prints are also available upon request, please ask!
If I book an engagement session as well do I get a discount?
Absolutely! All our packages include a steep discount on an engagement session, and if that's all you're looking for, you can just book us for one of those. Consider it a trial run to see if we get along. (We will!)
How many pictures will we receive?
For the elopement package, you'll receive at minimum 200 edited photos. For the deluxe package, you'll receive at minimum 400 edited photos. If you are concerned you may need more than this please reach out!
Is my deposit refundable?
We will retain 50% of your deposit because once we book a day for you, we must turn down other work to keep that date exclusively for you. But if things go sideways, we are happy to apply the amount towards another re-scheduled session!
I'm not sure which package I need! Help?
To keep things simple we offer only two packages depending on if you're having a smaller wedding or a larger, more standard one. If you're not absolutely sure your wedding will be a small one we recommend the Deluxe package to make sure you're covered for the entire day!
ENGAGEMENT FAQs
How long is the session?
You get 2 hours of time included in the session. This is usually enough for most cases, however if you need more please reach out to discuss!
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive a link to your private online gallery within three weeks with a sneak peek before then!
Can I do an outfit change?
If you like yes! Typically a casual and semi-formal outfit swap is done.
If I book a wedding with you as well do I get a discount?
Absolutely! The engagement package includes a steep discount on any wedding package.
What should I wear?
You should wear what makes you feel confident! That said, if you want some dressing tips: try to avoid logos / text on your shirts (they'll date your photos), busy patterns, or anything too casual (flip flops and cargo shorts for example).
How many pictures will we receive?
You'll receive at minimum 50 edited photos. If you are concerned you may need more than this please reach out!
Can we pick the location? Or go to multiple?
You can pick any location you like! We are located in West Chester, PA but can travel. If it's a bit far we will ask you cover the additional expense, so please let us know where you're thinking and we can talk about it!
If you want to hit up multiple locations that's fine as well if they are close to each other or you can cover the cost of additional travel.
Please note if a location requires an admission fee we ask that you cover this on our behalf.
What happens if it rains?
We are able to reschedule if rain seems inevitable on your chosen day! That said, you're more than welcome to keep the date, we've taken some awesome shots in the rain!
Do you offer Save the Dates or prints?
Save the Dates and Prints are available upon request for an additional fee, please let us know how many you need and we can help!
FAMILY FAQs
Do we need a special occassion or can you take photos of us just having fun together?
There doesn't need to be a special occasion! Just being together is special enough, and capturing a growing family in natural everyday scenes is a great way to mark milestones and look back on your journey together.
If you need some ideas for fun occasions to document with us: a day at the park, backyard BBQ get-together, adopting a furry friend, or even a surprise party for your closest pal.

I'm worried my kids won't behave, will this be awkward?
We're not here to judge, we're here to capture genuine humans being themselves! We understand sometimes kids don't want to co-operate, but capturing authentic human experiences includes smiles, laughs and tears too! We can work with you no matter what life throws at you (and it'll likely end with a laugh anyway!)
Does it need to be a family? Can you take photos of just me?
Of course! There's no minimum headcount (outside of one, otherwise we'd be taking photos of nobody!) We're available to help you get perfect headshots for your business, social media profile, or any other special occasion you need.

EVENT FAQs
What counts as an "event?" Is a wedding not considered an "event"?
Technically weddings are events, however they are much more complex and require very specific timing and planning to properly execute. As such they require a different package! The event package would be more suited to your corporate outing, live show or concert.
How many pictures will we receive?
You'll receive at minimum 80 edited photos. If you are concerned you may need more than this please reach out!
Will you be there for the entire event?
Most events run under 4 hours, which is why my Event Package includes that amount of time for you. So, yes, typically! If you need additional time please reach out to discuss!
